Brand new for 2025, live and study on campus in the vibrant New York City. Our two-week programmes include over 35 hours of lessons in career-focused subjects, combining engaging workshops, seminars and group projects – all of which are taught on campus at Columbia University, one of America’s eight prestigious Ivy League colleges.

When you study with us, you’ll spend two weeks living like a real Ivy League student – in real student bedrooms on campus. Located on the Barnard College campus, these comfortable suites include options for single or double rooms. The perfect base from which to explore the city of New York, the campus is nestled in the vibrant Manhattan neighbourhood of Morningside Heights. You’ll enjoy an exclusive taste of Ivy League excellence, and venture out to the unmissable spots during guided tours and activities.

Graduation

As the programmes draw to a close, you’ll enjoy a prestigious graduation ceremony to celebrate all of your achievements, where you’ll be presented with your certificates in a beautiful Columbia University venue.

From luxury shopping to world-class museums, incredible culture and iconic landmarks are on your doorstep in New York City. Students at our New York Summer School will be immersed in everything this vibrant city has to offer, from exploring legendary sights like the Empire State Building, Museum of Modern Art and even catching a Broadway theatre show.

Activities in New York

Every evening, our New York Summer School students can take part in our Debate Society, helping them to develop confidence and communications skills, all culminating in our debating grand final. 

You’ll also enjoy enriching seminars from globally-renowned thought leaders, such as our ‘Shaping Your Future’ series and the Headline Address, which explores the important issues facing the modern world today. 

As well as our educational timetable and exclusive events and excursions (see above) our students can relax and make lifelong friends via fun yet structured activities, including a popular campus talent show and Olympics in the Park.

Ready to take the first step toward the summer of a lifetime? Our New York Summer School is for any ambitious student aged 16 to 18. The only requirement for our students is a firm grasp on the English language: C1 or IELTS level 6.5 or higher.

Students who have studied at an English speaking school for two or more years are exempt from English requirements: please book a call with our admissions team if you have any questions.

Your fees cover everything you need for a rich academic and extracurricular experience, including: 

  • Classes and tuition with expert tutors

  • Meals in the college dining hall:
    • Ages 12-15: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
    • Ages 16-18: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

All students will be well looked after, and security is carefully monitored on campus. Our campuses are only accessible to our students, with one entry point that is staffed 24/7.

In order to leave campus students are required to sign out and sign themselves back in with a counsellor, and curfews are enforced on campus. Any issues that arise can be taken up with staff.

Students will also always be accompanied during lessons, trips, and excursions.

What you’ll need to book:

  • Payment details (debit/credit card or alternative method)
  • The name of your chosen programme(s)

After booking:

  • You will receive an email confirmation once your deposit has been processed.
  • A login to the Oxford Royale Portal will be provided, where you can:
    • Access all details about your enrolment.
    • Submit important information to keep us up to date.

Yes! You can enrol in multiple programmes to explore a variety of subjects.

  • Students attending consecutive sessions will receive accommodation for the Saturday night between programmes.
  • Supervised activities will be arranged during the transition between sessions.
